Ingredients of Katthal ke kofte / Jackfruit kofte
- You need 500 g of Jackfruit.
- It's of Multi purpose flour or besan.
- Prepare of Ginger garlic paste.
- It's of Chilly powder.
- You need of Coriander powder.
- You need of Turmeric powder.
- It's of Salt as per taste.
- You need of Fennel seeds.
- Prepare of Garam masala powder.
- You need of Kasuri methi.
- It's of Coriander (chopped).
- It's of Oil to fry kofte.
- It's of For gravy, 1 bay leaf, 1 inch cinnamon, 3-4 cloves & cardamom.
- It's 2 of onions chopped.
- Prepare of Pepper.
- You need of Tomato puree / tomato paste half cup.
- You need leaves of Curry.

Katthal ke kofte / Jackfruit kofte instructions
- Step 1 : COOKING JACKFRUIT. Cut the Jackfruit in small pieces and cook it in pressure cooker until 2-3 whistle or cook in a vessel until the jackfruit turns soft. Remove the pieces and keep it aside (make sure the pieces are dry, not damped in water).
- Step 2 : KOFTE. mash Jackfruit pieces & add besan(2-3 spoon or as required, make sure the dough is not too hard), chilly powder 2 spoon, coriander powder, turmeric, salt half spoon, fennel seeds 1 spoon,ginger garlic paste 1 spoon, garam masala half spoon, chopped coriander half cup, kasuri methi & mix well, apply oil on palm & make medium / small size kofte. Fry them in pan on low heat so that they are well cooked inside till they turn golden brown pierce with toothpick and keep them aside..
- Step 3 : GRAVY. Add 2 table spoon oil in kadai, add bay leaf, cinnamon, cardamom, cloves & whole spices, then add onion, curry leaves, 1 spoon ginger garlic paste, once onion add chilli powder(as required), turmeric, salt, 1 spoon pepper, garam masala, coriander powder, once the masala is cooked add tomato puree after this is cooked add 2 spoon curd / milk cream. Add water as you want the consistency to be, cook this & add the kofte balls,cook for 10 minutes add coriander and serve.
Take the jackfruit pieces in a big bowl and mash them well with a masher. Add the mashed and boiled potatoes and mix well. Add condensed milk solids, chopped green chillies, finely chopped coriander, cardamom powder, garam masala, red chilli powder and salt.
